Final years students of the Ashesi University will not be allowed to return to campus on 15th of June in contrast to the government’s decision to open schools partially.

This is an announcement coming in from the management of the institution who believe the time is not right for students to return to campus as announced by President Akufo-Addo in his tenth address to the nation.

Last night, the president announced that “Indeed, final year university students are to report to their universities on 15th June; final year Senior High School (SHS 3) students, together with SHS 2 Gold Track students, on 22nd June; and final-year JHS 3 students on 29th June.”

However, the university believes it has been able to capitalize on the internet to see to it that final year students have completed their semester exams.

In multiple tweets today, management of the Ashesi University said senior students who are yet to finish with their work will have to submit it to their faculties online.

They continued that all other members of the community will continue to operate online as they have since March 30th, and protocols for working, teaching, and learning remain in place.
